About Jeremy

I have thirty-five years’ experience of leading couples and families through ceremonies of every kind.  I am entirely guided by the wishes of my clients in determining what kind of ceremony is created  – what counts is what you want.

My experience means that I have conducted literally thousands of ceremonies of all kinds, for all kinds of people. In addition to my life experience, I hold the highest national qualification in funeral celebrancy, a Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy, and am a full member of the Institute of Civil Funerals, dedicated to upholding the standards of celebrancy.

Born in Cambridge, I have lived and worked in East Anglia, the North-East of England and the East Midlands. I worked as a priest of the Church of England for many years, and although I don’t work for the Church any more I still love working with people, and helping them create memorable ceremonies that fulfil their hopes and expectations. My last job was as a chaplaincy and bereavement services manager for a large NHS Trust in Lincolnshire. I am a very experienced public speaker and trainer, and am used to working on radio and television.

I am passionate about providing my services equally for all people, and have experience of working with same-sex couples, people with disabilities, trans people and non-traditional families.  I am determined that the same high standards in the ceremonies I create are offered to all people regardless of their circumstances, and I make sure that reasonable adjustments are made where needed.

My aim is to work with you to make your ceremony, whatever it is, one that meets your hopes and needs at the time. I believe you can trust me to respond fully and professionally to your requirements, and I look forward to meeting you.
